The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Soldiers Group

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of characters, and a gripping narrative showcasing divine entities, fiends, and malevolent powers growing in influence within the city.

Note: Revealing details for the latest installment of the new season are included.

The Warrior Group Revealed

The third episode ended with a dramatic pause and presented the initial group of characters who will branch out from the main group to embark on their independent quest, separate from the remaining groups.

This warrior group features Teor Pridesire (brought to life by the voice actor), the agile character (Laura), the fierce warrior (the cast member), the cleric (the player), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).

Why Split the Party?

Considering a large ensemble, it was obvious from the start that keeping everyone at a single group would be unworkable.

That’s why, the first four episodes of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, weaving together the personal journeys before splitting into three distinct groups: Fighters, Planners, and Explorers.

Characteristics of the Soldiers Table

According to Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for adventurers who prefer a classically intense battle-oriented narrative style where diplomatic options are few and far between.

Upon first impression, characters like the hesitant healer the cleric might seem unsuited, but the developments of the third episode make it clear why these particular heroes are best suited for the Soldiers table.

Motivations for Departure

To begin with, the group has a clear idea where to proceed after a brutal initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.

An old friend of the deceased character—whose demise initiated the narrative’s action—used The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, breaking into the secret base, assaulting Thimble, and taking all the magical artifacts to sell off.

The antagonist then cleared his liabilities and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, above the city, with Cyd hot on his heels.

Individual Reasons

Moreover, each adventurer has a specific drive to depart the metropolitan area:

  • The agile hero, as the companion and closest confidant, wants vengeance.
  • The adventurer has experience in the northern area and advises that it is a dangerous location.
  • The warrior and Wicander, having defied his family’s wishes to execute the fighter and instead freed him, have no other options.
  • But, their status as important members in the influential clan could assist the group access locations they normally couldn’t.
  • Furthermore, The grateful character vowed a eternal obligation to The savior for his rescue and will now follow him anywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Finally, all of them are wanted by the powers that rule Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making staying in the city no longer safe:

  • The agile adventurer and Kattigan are known criminals.
  • The warrior and Wicander betrayed the influential house and the horde of evil beings they are aligned with.
  • Teor is wanted dead by House Halovar.

This leaves them little choice but to head to the remote area in quest for Casimir.

Future Episodes

According to the recent installment’s post-show segment, we learn that the warrior group will be absent the following episode, leaving the remaining eight participants to round up the Questers and Schemers parties.

Audiences can expect finding out which adventurers will be assigned to which table in Campaign 4’s concluding setup installment, released on October 24.
