Tehran Says It Could Return to American Atomic Negotiations if Treated with 'Respect' and 'Respect'

Tehran is ready to resume nuclear negotiations with Washington on condition that it is approached with "respect" and "respect", Iran's foreign minister has announced.

The Iranian diplomat stated only diplomacy worked, and shared new appeals had originated from go-betweens to restart discussions with the American leadership. He claimed Iran possessed no unreported enrichment locations, and Tehran could not yet authorize the International Atomic Energy Agency to access attacked atomic facilities for safety concerns.

Earlier Talks Suddenly Ended

The prior phases of talks between the US and Iran were ended suddenly and hostile termination on 12 June when the Israeli government, with American backing, attacked Iran's enrichment centers in a fortnight-long engagement that concluded with the US president declaring the locations had been obliterated. Following this, EU nations employed their authority to reimpose UN-wide sanctions, but Iran insists they have not had a significant effect.

Perfect Agreement Offered

Iran's diplomats claimed they felt they had attained a "magic solution" to the enrichment issue in earlier negotiations, when it was decided an domestic cooperative with Washington's engagement could refine atomic fuel. Each party would have been able to declare success since home-based processing would have persisted and the US could be certain that Iran's enrichment initiative was exclusively peaceful.

It had not been settled in the discussions that US nuclear scientists could function on Iranian soil, but that was a natural consequence of the cooperative offer. Officials claimed repeatedly they had secured an understanding with the US representative the American negotiator only for the agreement to disintegrate due to "detractors in America".

Present Situation

Recovery and Rebuilding

In what is described by Iranian officials as the struggle of restoration and rebuilding, the foreign minister stated he was assured Iran's defence capabilities "are considerably enhanced than prior to 13 or 14 June of this year. Every aspect of our defense have been rebuilt. We learned multiple understandings from this engagement; we have identified our internal vulnerabilities and the vulnerabilities of the adversary."

He added: "We successfully passed this conflict. Our enrichment knowledge, which they aimed to eliminate, remains in place. The facilities and equipment, if eliminated, will be rebuilt; what is important is the resolve of the Iranian people and then the unity of the country that they sought to undermine, but were unable to destroy. The nation of Iran have become stronger, more cohesive, and more endorsing of the government and the country in the face of this attack."
